It’s official: we cannot keep up with the never-ending saga of musical chairs within the world of fashion. Not even one whole month into 2025 and the rumor mill is… in overdrive. Hedi Slimane is rumored to be heading to Gucci. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are allegedly set to become co-creative directors of Loewe, while Jonathan Anderson could potentially replace Maria Grazia Chiuri at Christian Dior as womenswear creative director. According to reports, the womenswear division of Christian Dior is “under pressure”. Maria Grazia Chiuri joined Dior in 2016, and has been the first female force behind the French fashion house for almost 10 years. Jonathan Anderson became creative director of Loewe in 2023, and just celebrated his 10th anniversary with the LVMH-owned label. Could MGC take up the mantle at Fendi, now that Kim Jones is out the door? The suspense for any official announcements is killing us.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Not believing this until I see the official press release statement from Dior. Maria Grazia Chiuri turned Dior into one of the greatest luxury cash cows, no way they’re gonna let her go so easily.” [FashionPower]
“Not sure what we will be trading for with Jonathan Anderson, but getting MGC away from Dior is so exciting.” [Salvatore]
“I feel like doing Dior as a whole is a huge task for Anderson. Of course, he will have a team but it’s insane. And now that he is embarking on movie projects, it’s almost 20 collections a year to oversee.” [Lola701]
“Jonathan Anderson at Dior seems like a misstep. Christian Dior is 10x larger than Loewe and has Haute Couture. I’m really not seeing a future for him at Dior.” [Nimsay]
“You know what I would find revolutionary, for once? That a French couture house would chose a couturier.” [Monsieur Cristobal]
