Since 2021, Francesca Ragazzi has been at the helm of Vogue Italia, subsequent to the departure of Emanuele Farneti. Ragazzi continues to demonstrate some serious pull when selecting cover stars for the Italian fashion bible, which has been on the market for over six decades. Cover stars over recent months have included everyone from Linda Evangelista to Lana Del Rey. Ragazzi welcomes Ariana Grande onto the March 2025 cover of Vogue Italia, and is placed before the lens of photographer Elizaveta Porodina for the occasion. The American singer-songwriter and BAFTA-nominated actress, gazes down Porodina’s lens styled by Max Ortega in a creation from Alessandro Michele’s Spring 2025 Valentino collection.

“Ariana deserved a better photographer,” immediately scolded jeje10 the moment the cover struck.

Forum member ellearchivist commented: “I had forgotten that this photographer existed but trust the most woeful of Vogue editions to try and resurrect her!”

“Ariana Grande is one of the celebrities who has the WORST performance in front of the camera,” chimed in an underwhelmed DK92.

“It’s giving Victorian death bed,” described WAVES.

Also left unimpressed was mepps. “Everything is awful, just awful,” they shared.

“Admittedly, this isn’t the worst Vogue cover I’ve come across over recent months. Not the biggest fan of Ariana Grande but this is all working. I like the photography, how different and stylistic it is, and the coloring,” voiced vogue28.
