OK, we hold our hands up. ELLE Italia doesn’t receive the attention and recognition it deserves here on theFashionSpot, especially when compared to the American, British, Chinese, or French editions of ELLE. The last time ELLE Italia truly commanded our attention was back in September of 2024 when Edie Campbell graced the Italian fashion weekly. Fast forward six months and it’s a repeat performance, as the publication presents its biannual issue dedicated entirely to fashion. ELLE Italia editor-in-chief Manuela Ravasio ushers in Candice Swanepoel as cover for the occasion, who poses before the lens of photographer Giampaolo Sgura. The South African model (perhaps known for her work with Victoria’s Secret) is celebrated across a trio of covers. Styled by George Cortina, Candice wears looks from the Spring 2025 collection of Giorgio Armani, Fendi, and Celine.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Oh no, this is not good. Too static,” immediately complained blueorchid.
“The woman was too stunned to speak,” chimed in thenewclassic upon checking out cover one (above).
“The retoucher should be fired and banned from working in the industry,” proseccotabis declared.
GivenchyHomme commented: “The hair covering half the face is not a good look. That is what they do to older subjects when they want to save on retouching. The second cover is so much better!”
“Too much makeup They aged her too much. Candice Swanepoel is better than this,” voiced Xone.
Also far from impressed was EDEN21. “Candice’s expression in the first cover is that of someone who just smelled a fart. Her expression in the last cover is of one holding in a fart. I think VS was the ceiling when it comes to her modeling skills,” they noted.
Yet not everyone was so disappointed. “The first cover with Candice in the Giorgio Armani look is flawless, I am OBSESSED!” enthused vogue28.
