Radhika Jones continues to demonstrate some serious pull in selecting cover stars for Vanity Fair. Zendaya, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldaña, and a host of others graced the title’s recent Hollywood edition while Millie Bobby Brown made an appearance on the March 2025 issue (and won us over completely). Up next on the cover of Vanity Fair for April 2025 is Gwyneth Paltrow. The American actress and businesswoman is certainly no stranger to the Condé Nast-owned publication, and last appeared on the cover in 2004. This time around, Paltrow poses for photographer Ned Rogers in the sultry(?) cover image. Dressed by stylist George Cortina, the Goop founder gazes down Rogers’ lens wearing a look from Anthony Vaccarello’s Spring 2025 Saint Laurent collection (to which Paltrow stars in the accompanying campaign).
Gwyneth Paltrow for Vanity Fair April 2025

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“How kind of them to use her face from 15 years ago for the cover,” pointed out Avonlea.
“She looks like one of those women from the Housewives franchise,” woemwoem chimed in.
“They made her look like a madam at a brothel,” shrieked forum member oaklee91.
Also unimpressed was vogue28. “It could’ve been a fantastic cover but Gwyneth’s face is what runs this into the ground, IMO. The facial expression is all sorts of awful. Paltrow looks miserable, unbothered, and half-asleep. Such an unfortunate image for a cover,” he voiced.
“I love the rich colors but everything else, not so much,” kokobombon commented.
“I mean, can’t deny it, she looks amazing,” defended honeycombchild.
“Beautiful, I love this opulence,” enthused jeje10.
