Mad Cave Studios will be debuting a new five-issue miniseries called Buried Long, Long Ago, which dives into themes of survival, corruption of innoncence and more, on April 16th. This dark historical horror series is written by Anthony Cleveland (Show’s End, Stargazer) with art done by Alex Cormack (The Devil The Wears My Face, Road of Bones) and lettered by Justin Birch. Based on true events, from 1901-1908 Belle Gunness lured dozens of lonely men to her Indiana farm and savagely murdered them for their money. Because Belle managed to avoid capture and face trial, much of this story remains untold. Until now.

“If my career was limited to telling only one story, it would absolutely be this one,” said Anthony Cleveland. “I have been wanting to write a story involving the Belle Gunness case since I first saw a museum exhibit about her in middle school. Alex has stuck by and matched my passion for this story for the past five years. There were many setbacks to reach the finish, but with each delay, there was always a shared rally to return and do even better than before. Truly, this book is a high point for both of us.
